Thee Every Hour": Mrs. Erlin
Whitmore read the Scripture and
Mrs. Alice Lawson led in prayer.
Mrs. Elmer Townsend • gave the
topic which was taken fromthe
book of Ruth. The roll -call was
answered with the names of the
New Testament, called in rotation,
Several business topics were>dis-
cussed including a bazaar in the
near future. (Watch for further
announcements.) Mrs, E. Layton
and Mrs. W. P. Roberts were ap-
pointed as delegates to attend the
WA rally in Exeter in May. A
hymn was followed by the Mizpah
benediction, Lunch was served by
the h6stess and her assistants..
The next meeting will be held
on Monday, May 16 at the home of
Mrs; Ernest Crich. Roll call will
be the books of the Old Testament
called in rotation.

the guests this week of Miss Dolly
Cantelon, and ,Miss Bertie Mc-
Roberts.
Mr. and Mrs, W. B. Biggart and
daughter, Exeter, returned home
on Saturday after a two weeks
visit in Thedford Mines, Montreal
and Ottawa.
Mr. and Mrs, W. J. Biggart re-
turned home on Saturday 'after a
two `''weeks visit in Ottawa with
their son, 'Cpl. R. C. Biggart
of the RCMP, and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Steep and
son. Donald, London, spent Sunday
last at the home of the former's
mother, Mrs. David Steep. Mr,
Steep is on a month's vacation
from Goose Bay, Labrador.
Mr. and Mrs. "H. E. Hartley were
in London on the weekend, and
enjoyed a tour of CFPL-TV, con-
ducted by Glen' Robitaille, the
chief TV engineer. Mr. Robitaille
was in the RCAF during the war,
and was radar instructor at RCAF
Station Clinton.

Entertain The
Area Teachers
Coloured slides of Bayfield
throughout the seasons were
shown in. Bayfield last Wednesday,
as the teachers of Stanley Town-
ship acted as hosts in the New
Ritz Hotel, to the members of the
Clinton Unit of the Federation of
Women Teachers Associations of
Ontario. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Poth
combined talents in the showing,
as Mrs. Poth did the commentary,
while her husband operated . the
projector.
Breathtaking 'sunsets over Lake
Huron; the harbour in'winter, the
fishing boats, and the old bridge
which is slated for demolition were
included in the scenes. A second
set of pictures were those taken
by Mr. and:Mrs. Poth while on a
trip through southern United Stat-
es and into Mexico.
Miss Edna Jamieson, president,
conducted opening exercises for
the meeting. Miss Olive Johnston
read the minutes of the previous
meeting and gave the monthly fin-
ancial report.
Mrs. F. Powell, Miss Edith Bea-
com and Miss W. Gray were ap.
pointed a nominating committee to
bring, in a slate of officers for the
coming year.
Miss Jamieson reminded the
teachers of the good will donations
in aid of bursaries, and also to
help overseas teachers now on ex-
change in Ontario. Mrs. Parker,
of the Bayfield" Public School, in-
troduced Mr. and Mrs. Poth to the
gathering. Following the program
the Stanley Township teachers
served lunch in the hotel dining
room.

Silver Jubilee
Huronic Rebekah Lodge No. 306
will celebrate its Silver Jubilee
with a meeting of special interest
to be held in the Clinton Memorial
Legion Hall, Kirk Street, on Mon-
day evening, May 2, at eight
o'clock. Guests are expected to be
present from every lodge in Hu-
ron District, as well as several
from a distance,
During. the evening the Rebekah
degree will be conferred by the
degree staff of May Queen Lodge,
No. 5, London. The address of the
evening is to be given by Sis. Betty
Dundas, London, the Assembly
Treasurer.
