A quiet and Pretty wedding was
splemnized Iast =Thursday, evening'
in the Wesley -Willis United
Church manse, when. Shirley,
Jacqueline, daughter of Mrs., H.
A ,;Mulhall, and, the late John Mul-
hall, Flin Flon, ;Man., became the
bride of Flight Cadet John Clar-
ence Girard; RCAF Station Clin
ton, ,son of Mrs.. A, H. Girard and
the late Joseph' Girard, Winnipeg,
"Man. Rev. H. C. Wilson conduct-
ed. the ceremony. "
The bride wore a duskpink
cocktail. -length dress of nylon
.faille, with bolero and bouffant
skirt,' and pink accessories. She
wore, a small flowered hat and
carried a cascade bouquet'of white
carnations. She wore a double
strand of pearls, the gift of; the
Miss Angel Ploschansky, Sud-
bury,: was the bridesmaid,• dressed
in ,pale yellow, off -the -shoulder
nylon faille, with white and yellow
accessories. She carried a cascade
bouquet of mauve 'mums, and
matching headdress. She wore a
cameo necklace, the gift of the
bride.
Groomsman was Flight Cadet
Hal Cameron, RCAF Station Clin-
ton.
For travelling the bride wore a
navy gabardine suit with white.
and navy accessories, and a navy
duster. For the buffet supper held
at the Hotel Clinton following the
ceremony, some 45 guests were
served. Guests included Mrs. Shir-
ley Mulhall, Niagara Fails, sister-
in-law of the bride, who wore a
navy dress with white accessories,
and a corsage of white carnations.
The young couple plans to live in
Clinton.

Goderich, was prettily decorated
with lavender delphinium and
sweet wiiliam last- Saturday af-
ternoon, `,when--IViary Kathleen,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs,. And-
re* P. Holmes; Goderich, became
the bride of Edward Harold Wise,
Clinton, son of : Mrs. Wise, Clin-
ton, and -the late Herbert' L. Wise.
Rev. H. A. Dickson conducted the.:
ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a floor length heir-
loom gown of rose point lace and
nylon tulle over -pearl-. lustre sat-
in. The sculptured tulle bodice,
was strapless and topped with a
jacket of lace, which had long
tapered sleeves and a collar edged
with simulated pearls and mother-
of-pearls sequins. The full polon-
aise skirt was of tulle appliqued•
with flowers of the lace and em-
broidered in pearls and sequins.
The fingertip veil of embroidered
illusion net was held in place with
a. sheppardess cap of matching
lace, pearls and sequins. She car-
ried a cascade bouquet of white
roses and carnations, with White
satin petals. Her only ornament
was a triple strand of pearls, the
gift of the groom.
Matron of honour was Mrs. Nel-
son Brown, Detroit, Mich., who
wore a ballerina -length gown of
yellow nylon chiffon, matching
picture hat, mitts and shoes. She
carried a, colonial nosegay of yel-
low roses with green Iace.
Groomsman was Elwin. Merrill,
Clinton. Ushers were Nelson
Brown, Detroit,- Mich and Glenn
Wise, Clinton. . m
Miss Frances Brereton played
traditional wedding music and ac-
companied the soloist Mrs: Lance
Saddler, who sang "0 Perfect
