when Col. Francis Ferari's United
Shows and Congress of Trained Wild
Animals, will take possesion of the
streets of Stratford.

Bayfield, July 20,— Two' young men,
defy death and give the summer col-
ony of B yEB2tiwhich numbers over
500 a hair-raising thrill when they
jump oft the top of the new steel
bridge which spans the river leading
to the harbor. The distance from the
bridge to Oa water is 58 feet and the
water at this point is only between 10
and 12 feet deep. The young men who
perform the, feat and cause the heart
of those who watch with bated breath
to flutter are Joe Boyd of Hamilton
one of the members of the summer
colonyand "Gib" Atkinson of Bayfield
"Gib" was the first to resort to the
high jump as a form of amusement
and Boyd on learning of it, quicklv.
