Mr. Chas Connell, who spent the
winter visiting his mother east broth-
ers hereabouts after an absence of
twenty years, returned. to the west
a fortnight ago. Mr. Connell, who
has a fine stock farm' in the neigh-
borhood of Prince Albert, Sask., pur-
chased and took with him to the
west the prize witming Clydesdale
yearling stallion, Captain Tom, from
Messrs. T. McMichael and Son. This
fine colt was bred by Mr. Living-
stone and purchased when a colt by
T. McMichael' and Son. 1Vheir a
colt. Capt. Tom took first prige at
Blyth and Clinton, as a yearling he,
carried off first at Toronto and
London, and first and champion over
all ages at Goderich last fall.
