At a meeting of the Board of Trade
held Friday evening, Sept. 4th, It
was decided that the President, Secre-
tary, messrs. 11. E. Manning and Dr,
Dr. Shaw be a committee of the Board
of Trade to cooperate with the town
council in devising some means ti3at
may be necessary to deal with cases
requiring relief. We are hoping that
conditions will be such that the work
of this connuittee will be comparative-
ly light, but in order to have some
responsible persons ready to act if such
conditions warrant it, we desire to in-
form the C .uncil that the above
named committee await the neming of
a committee of the Council in order
that they may meet together and co.
operate.
Councillor Wiltse spoke ou the
matter and suggested that the Charity
Committee should co operate with the
Board of Trade and on motion of
Paisley and Ford the Charity commit-
tee of Councillors Shepherd Fit zsinions
and Reeve Canteloil were named and
the motion was carried.
The various committees had hardly
any reports to offer.
Councillor Ford, chait man of the
street committee, reported that the
work passed at last meeting was Iiii-
ished.

report: -Your committee beg to report
as foliates, we recommend that new
nozel and rubber coat s ze 42 be pro
tured at once also there axe a number
bf lengths of hose in bad repair.
These can be repaired at small cost
and should be attended to at once.

and Superintendent Chant told the
extra lights on the back streets had
been placed that had been ordered,
The Council is hoping that the rate
for street lighting will be reduced in
the near future by the Public Utilities
Commission.

report which was adopted,
Chief Wheatley will control the

dreadfully for years
until I began taking
your medicine. I al-
so recommend it for
nervousness and in-
digestion. " - Mrs.
HENRY CLARK, Glanford Station. Ont.
Chesterville, Ont. - "1 heard your
medicines highly praised, and a year ago
I began taking them for falling of womb
and ovarian trouble.
"My left side pained me all the time
and just before my periods which were
irregular and painful it would be worse.
To sit down caused me pain and suffer-
ing and I would be so nervous some-
times that I could not bear to see any
one or hear any one speak. Little specks
would float before my eyes and I was
always constipated.
"I cannot say too much for Lydia E.
Pinkham's Vegetable Compound and
Liver Pills, for there are no medicines
like them. I have taken them and I
recommend them to all women. You may
publish this testimonial." - Mrs. STE-
