Winnipeg, Canada. -"Eleven years
ago I went to the Victoria Hospital,
Montreal, suffering with a growth. The
doctors said it was a tumor and could

"After l came home I saw your adver-

it was the means of saving my life. I
highly recommend it to suffering

British Bayonet Decides
The sword bayonet used by the Brit -
!eh infantry, is about 17 inches long
The blade Is ground to a very fine
point, and both edges are sharpened.
The accuracy of the short Lee -Enfield
rifle is not appreciably affected by ax-
ing the bayonet, which is not directly
attached to the muzzle. Some mili-
tary critics were of the opinion that
the bayonet, owing to the develop-
ment of rifle fire, would be of little or
no use in modern warfare, but dur-
ing the whole course of the great war
it has been amply demonstrated that
the "cold steel" is the decisive factor
so far as infantry" engagemnts are
concerned. Artillery may do much to
shake the morale of the enemy, but it
requires the last wild rush with the
bayonet to set them out on the run.
Vagrants in England used to be pure
fished by having the upper part of the
gristle of the right ear removed,

Life Unbearable from Indigestion
Health Restored by "Fruit -a -tires"
MELLE. C. GAUDREAU
Boehon P.Q., Jan. 14th, 1915.
"I suffered for many years with
terrible Indigestion and Constipation. I
became thin and miserable. I had
frequent dizzy spells and became so
run down that I never thought I would
get well again.
A neighbor advised Inc to try'Fruit-
a-tires', I did 'so and to the surprise -
of my doctor, I began to improve and
he advised me logo on with 'Fruit-a-tives'.
I continued this medicine and all my
Indigestion and Constipation was
relieved. I consider that I owe my life
to `Fruit -a -tires' and I want to say to
those who suffer from Indigestion,
Constipation or Headaches, try 'Fruit-
a-tives'. Give this lovely fruit medicine
a fair chance and you will get well the
same as I did",
