Mr. W. Tebbutt returned on Monday
from Druid, Sask., after an ab-
sence of four years and expects to
spend several weeks with relatives
and friends in town and Goderich
township before i etuirning to his
prairie homestead. &Ii. Tebbutt
reports a general brightening up
in the west since the recent boun-`
tifal harvest, and improved prices
for the wheat for which the Can-
adian, west is famous.
Mr. Stewart .Jackson, son of Mr. T.
Jackson of towh, who has been
engaged in theatrical work for %the
past three or. tour years having
appeared in most of the large,
cities of both the United States
and Canada, is playing at Shea's,
Toronto, all this week, to which'
the Mail and Empire makes refer-
ence in this way : "Stewart Jack-
son, a Toronto boy, and Miss
Dorothy Wahl present a classy
sketch entitled "Before the Thea-
tre." Mr. "Jackson is a skilful
"piano tickler.," ami Miss Dorothy
Wahl adds a nmhber of laughs.
Their skit is ,decidedly bright and
entertaining.'
