DEATH 010 MANAGER KUT CII,
A few weeks ago Rnbert Murch,
manager of the House of Refuge, was
stricken with paralysis while engaged
in attending to the affairs of the in-
stitution. Peer since he has been in
a very low etate and little if any
hope Was entertained for Ms rejovery.
The news of his death 011 Saturday
evening last did not, there:ore, come
as a'surlirise.
The late Mr. Mutoh sees born in
Aberdeen, Scotland, sixty-five years
ago .and came out with his parents
to this country when he was four
years of age. The family settled first'
in Pleke-ing township, Ontario Coun-
ty, but forty-three year's ago this
month they came up to Huron and
settled near Auburn. The subject of
this sketch farmed ...for a time
their for about fifteen years con-
ducted a butcher business at Got
sic. In 1874 he was ,married to Miss
Jones, who surf ives hint. •
Eight yeare ago in' 'June last Mr.
