fractured his thigh. The accident is
a rather serious one in view of his ad-
vanced age.

Mr: and Mrs. Jas, Donaldson,cele-
brated the eltieth anniversary of their
wedding day -on Tuesdays of - this
week, at their home in Bayfield is the
presence of their fannily and numero'ts

After clearing up a greater portion of

Mr. Robert Lockhart, who since re-
tired and moved to Wingham,
Mr, Donaldson then moved to Stan-
ley township, locating on the Bron-
son Linc, where he engaged in fann-
ing and threshing being the first man
to introduce the traction engine into
Stanley. Later on he went into saw-
milling,

In the year 1804 he moved to Boy -
field leaving the homestead to his el-
dest son, Charles, and with hIs son

a sawmill where they carriedon

of St. Joseph.
Mr. Donaldson retired 17 years ago
and with his partner in life continues
to enjoy the balmy breezes of Lake
Huron.

two daughters of whom only two

Threshing Machine Co., Racine, \Vis,
The ceremony on Tuesday was pres-
ided over by. Rev, Alfred Macfarlane,
13.D:, minister of St. Andrew's church,
Bayeeld, who conducted a short ser-
vice, addressing the aged couple brier-
ly commending them to God, after
which the company sat down to a
sumptuous repast to which full justice
was clone.
The good wishes of the friends be-
longing to tate family were very felici-
tously tendered by Rev. Mr. Macfar-
lane, who proposed a toast to Mr,
and Mrs, Donaldson,
Several of the friends present spoke
of the appreciation and high esteem
in welch Mr, and Mus. Donaldson were
held mid their good wishes for their
future,
Mr, Donaldson has been a life-long
Presbyterian and an elder of St.
Andrew's church for it great number
of years,
They were the recipients of many
costly and beautiful presents from.
their relatives and friends.
