til next day. If partisan politics is
to be made out of the incident we
map point out that the officer in
command of the camp is General Lo-
gic is a Liberal. But we are not
blaming him, These things wilt hap-
pen.
It is the Committee of One
Hundred That is On Trial.
The members or the Committee of
One Hundred and so-called Temper-
ance Liberals rather than the Hearst
Government are on trial. The trade
ha e no doubt as to which party it
wishes to punish the party that Is
• closing the bats, shops and clubs. It
has no resentment for the Llberal
party, which, despite the sincerity of
its present leader, never grappled
with the liquor problem during the
long years when it was in office and
could have done so. It the traffic is
certain that it must down the Cor.-
' eervative party, how 'comes it so-
called Temperance Liberals and the
committee of One FIundred are so
beeita»t as towhicic side they should

a wedding which took place in Towns
to is a niece of Mrs. Henry Carter,
Victoria street, Clintou :
'Dunn Avenue Methodist Church
was the scene of one of the pretti-
est weddings of the season today at
highnoon, when OliVe, youngest dau-
ghter of Mr. John Russell, became
the bride of 'Mr. Wm. D. Corson, son
of the late 11r. W. C. Corson. T_he
bride, who was given in marriage bp
her father, was a vision of loveliness,
gowned in white Brussels net over
white silk, with trimmings of French
roses. Her veil was caught up in
Juliet. cap with orange blossoms, and
she carried a shower bouquet of white
. bridal roses and lity-of-the-valley.
The only jewel worn was a magnifi-
cent peael pennant, the girt of the
groom. She was attended by Miss
Cecil Brown,. Who was attired itt
pink taffeta and Georgette crepe,
while Mr. Frank Hortop supported the -
groom. Little Olive Russell, niece of
the bride, and Fluffy. Cant, niece or
the groom, acted as flower girle. The
ceremony was performed by, Rev.
Vernon H. Emory, and during the
signing of the register Mr. Howard
Russell sang "The Lovelight in Your
'Eyes." Lohengrin wedding march was
played by Mrs. Jack Munro. After
the reception aedainty buffet lunch-
eon was served, toasts being maw -
ed to the King and the bride, and
Were .ably responded to by the groom
and IVIr. John Russell. Mr. and Mrs.
Corson left on the Niagara boat for
a motor trip through New York
State, amid showers of good wishes
and confetti, the bride travelling in
blue silk taffeta and rose felt hat
with leghorn crown. The groom's
gift to the bridesmaid was a pearl
rbrooch and to the flower girls cuff
3inks. The ushers received French
cameo tie pins. Mr. and Mrs. Corson
wilb spend the ,remainder of the Slim-
mer 1110/1thS at their cottage in
Grereby Beach."

turning out badly, the fruit rotting

the result of the excessive heat.

- On Tuesday of last week the mar-
riage took place at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. W. L. Keys of Seaforth of
their peungest daughter, Ella Mprtle.

ceremony was. performed by Rev. J.
NI. Keys of Brigden, brother of the
bride, and Rev. James Foote, cousin
of the groom, only immediate friends
of the contracting parties being pre-
sent. The bride, who was given away
by her father, wore p handsome wed-
ding gowneof georgette crepe over silk
and carried a bouquet of bridal ros-
es. Phe bridal couple were unattend-
ed. They stood during the ceremony
finder an arch of , evergreens from
which hung a lovely bell of sweet
alyssum and lilies. Miss Mayme HalL
of Constance, cousin of the bride,
played the wedding music. After the.
wedding luncheon Mr, and Mrs. Nice
Ash motored to Brumfield and took
the atternoon train to Detroit, The
bride's going away costume was a
tailored suit of navy blue with which
she wore a white hat. The young
couple have taken up their residence at
Varna where both are ver p well known
anti highly esteemed. They have the
very best wishes of all for a happy
.earried life.
