H. Wood, chairman of the On- tario executive committee in the Vic- tory Loan campaign. He rejoices in the fact that in about 80 per cent of 'the Ontario campaign units the .lead- ership•Is the same as in the previous Victory Loan campaigns , a great body of workers, and he is confident that the loan will be an unqualified suc- cess—"My reasons for this assur- ance," he said, "are as follows;-- "First—Because the• job must be ,done. Our boys in France never failed when asked to do a given piece of work. Many of them are assisting in this campaign, and their fathers and brothers, being made of the sane stuff, will in the same spirit the sons displayed overseas, put this campaign .over. • • "Second—The money is here in abundance. This is proven by the money on deposit in the banks. Last ,year was a remarkably successful ' one from a business standpoint. There w.'as enormous production from 'farms„ manufacturers, mines and timber lands. Ontario people are re- ceiving annually $40,000,000 interest -..from their present investments in Canada's War -and Victory Bonds.
