We Announce
A
SALE
OF
The Following Staples
•
Flannelette, Flannel, Canton Flannel, Gaby Delaine, Gingham, Nurses Cloth, Print, Silkoline,
Bath Towels, Toweling, Cotton, bleached and and unbleached, Cambric, Nainsook, Ticking,
Duck, Denim, Cottonade, Table Linen, Pillow Cotton, Sheeting, Sheets, Flannelette Blank-
ets, Batting. Mill ends of Colored Marquisette, chintz and Factory Cotton.
Buying them at any time here you pay the lowest market price and our sale prices are less
than the wholesale or mill prices.
We urge you to come and investigate the above mentioned facts. Space will permit us
only to mention the matchless values and the still greater part of the story remains to be
told. It will pay you to make a trip to this store from any distance.
Do not stay away from this sale because you imagine the best bargains will be gone to the
early buyers, for this will not be the. case. With stocks as big as ours it would require a lot of
selling to reduce them much, in fact it would take our present staff a long time to sell out the
before mentioned goods. We do not intend to put on extra salespeople for this sale. . To
do so would only increase the cost of the goods to the purchasing public, our object is to give
each customer the best merchandise at the lowest price. The public can help us greatly (and
incidentally benefit themselves) in this effort by doing their buying in the morning.
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO LIMIT THE QUANTITY PURCHASED BY ANY IN-
iyIVIDUAL PERSON; THIS WE DO IN FAIRNESS TO ALL.

Nath Has Some Racers
Mr, Nath Warrener, of Hensel!, has
some race team according to the Ob-
server:—On Tuesday afternoon con-
siderable excitement was caused on
our front street by the runaway of
Mr. N. P. Warrner's heavy team, The
team was standing in front of Mr.
Warrner's barn when they took fright
and ran through town and were not
stopped till they had run over a mile.
Although there were a great' many
rigs on the front street, the horses
managed to miss them all and when the
teats were finally stopped it was found
that no damage had beendone to
either the horses or the wagon.
Canadian S. 5. Papers
(Brantford Expositor) It is about
time that some of the Sunday School
papers conning into this country' had
a little more—or a great deal more—
Canadian touch to theta. There are
many schools where all the papers
are American edited and printed, For
instance, one Inas a story of "How
America broke the world's ship -build-
ing record," and other stories tell of
performances of like character. There
are columns of ads, asking the boys to
become salesmen for. everything from
Easter cards to bicycles. in fact, the
range takes in the sale of watches,
flash -fights, rings, groceries from a
mail order house, luminous paint,
U. S. A, army shits for boys, air rifles,
cameras, voice throwers, etc. The
paper is well calculated to start any
hoy between the ages of 9 and 12 out
on the street peddling all sorts of
trash that the neighbors neither want
nor need,
Dangerous To Pedestrains
(St. Mary's Argus):—Some action
should be taken by the town authori-
ties to stop the dangerous practice of
bicyclists riding their wheels on the
sidewalks. Other towns are strictly
enforcing the late in this respect. In
Clinton, 'Chief Fitzsimons issued a
warning In last week's papers and
stated that "every person riding a bic-
ycle
in-ycle on the sidewalk will only have
themselves, to blame when they appear
before the Police Magistrate." The
Mitchell Recorder remarks "that some
stiff fines would snake them take notice
and also make tine sidewalks safer
for those for whom they were con-
structed." Why should citizens be
in danger of being injured by' some
of tliese fellows who "scorch" up and
down' our sidewalks? in fact sone of
themars so, bold as to whistle to
pedestrains to get oil' the sidewalk and
allow then to tear by, 'there should
be a stop put to this at once before a
serious accident occurs.
