merly of Clinton, and Mrs. Paull of
London were the guests over the
week -end of Mrs. H. T. Rance.
Mrs. Lanskail and two children of
Regina and her sister-in-law, Miss
Lanskail of Toronto, are visiting
the fornier's aunt, Miss Annie Ross
of town.
Miss Minnie Ker of Brantford, form-
erly` of Clinton, was in tottn on
Monday. She had been visiting
relatives at Bayfield and went on
to Wingham.
Mrs. J. Miner and family will leave
the end of this week or the begin-
ning of next to join Mr. Miner at
Limerick, Sask., where they intend
making their home.
Miss Alice Higgins of the Mall of
the Ottawa Journal returned to
the Capital on Tuesday after
spending a week in town with her
'Uncle, Mr. 13. R. Higgins, and her
aunt, Mrs. Win. Graham.
Mr. and Mrs, John Torrance and
Miss Maude returned on Friday af-
ter a very pleasant trip to the
west, They made the journey be-
tween Port Arthur and Sarnia by
boat.
Miss Train of Collingwood, formerly
a member of the Clinton Collegiate
staff, has been visiting Miss Jessie
O'Neil during the past week. Miss
Train has been taking a special
course at the University.
Mr, C. J. Wallis returned Saturday
from the east, where he had been
delivering a shipment of horses.
Itis son, Fred., avho had taken the
horses 'down for his father and on
his return visited' in Toronto for a
short time, accompanied him home.
Lieut, Tait of Palmerston has joined
Capt. Jones and they will probab-
ly be in charge of the local S.A.
corps for some time. ' Capt. Jones,
who was obliged to be absent on
leave for some months owing to a
fractured limb, seems to have dune
recovered.
Mr. A. J. Morrish went up to Col-
liegwood yesterday and is taking
