Mrs, J. H. McWilliam, Fergus street,
when their eldest daughter, Edon
Blaine, became the bride et James
Alexander Pearson, son of Mr. and
Mrs. James Pearson, of Ethel. Rev.
W. A. McWilliams, Mount Brydges,
uncle of the bride, aftioiated and the
Wedding music was played by her
cousin, Miss Marion McWilliam.

You know the Booster Club is a lot
of fun, it is fun to see the crowd
gather around Saturday night when

Listowel, July 26. -Sunday. after-
noon, when a lege number of meiin-
nters were seeking relief from "re

stone McKay, son of Mr. and Mrs,
Hugh McKey, R.R.2, Brussel., a515
drowned. The twenty -one-year 01:1

the pool about two -forty-five o'clock

guard•who brought the body out to
the pool. Artificial respiration wee

two hours but all effort to revive
the young man proved futile.

Eldon Mann, Ross Machan, both of
R.R. 1, 'lmaden, Charles Harris'an,
RR, 2 Brussels, and Scott McLean
arrived at the pool about two o'clock
anal It was ascertained that none of
the party knew much about swim-
ming, Became of the large num-
ber is the• pool and the commotion
created by the swimmers the youth's
absence was unnoticed until Itis
body was found. At the time of the
accident Mr. Werth, :Proprietor of
the pool, was assisting the,, life-
guard. The pool has been open for
sevemal years anal this is the first
drowning accident.
The victim of the tragedy was
born January, 31, 1921, and had spent
most of WS life in the vicinity of
Brussels and with the family bad
&resided for several years is Strafe
ford`wdrere he attended Avon Public
school. For the past eight years
hehadbeenhelping his father on
the farm. Ste recently made appli-
cation. to enter the RC.A.F. Techni-
cal School at Galt and expecting
momentarily the word to report for
medical exanrnination•.
Besides his parents, he is siu'-
vived. by three brothers. Archie.
Sudbury; Duncan, Monctieff; -Allen,
Toronto, ant a sister, Mrs. Hoo'waa'd
McNaught, Monkton.
The funeral service was held from
this late home, lot 2, cont 15, Grey
townelldp on Wednesday, July 30th.
followed by service at Moncrisff
United Cburcih. Interment was
made in Harvey's Cemetery.
