A quielt but very pretty wedding
took place at Melville Church manse
on Wednesday et 10.30 o'clock, with
Rev. S, Kerr officiating, of Gertrude
Jean, daugther of Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Davidson, Brussels, and
Charles B. Robinson of Detroit,
Michigan. The bride was dressed
hi. a navy blue redingote over a
figured dress, Miss Agnes Davidson.

Mr. Wayne Rabinsom. Detroit, bro-
ther of the bridegroom, was best
man. A dainty luncheon was. served
at the home of the bride, atter
which the happy couple left on their
wedding trap to Niagara Falls, Wash
ington, D. C., and .through to the

A wedding of interest in Stratford
was solemnized in Toronto on Sat-
urday afternoon when Miss Winni-
fred Doreen Eclmnler, daughter of
Mrs. Balmier, of Toronto, and the
late Mr. Louise Eokmier, and Mr.
Sydney John Spall, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Sydney J. Spall, were married
in Yonlmninster Baptist Church.
Rev. W. A. Cameron officiated
Miss's Edna Warier of Stratford was
at the organ. and during the signing
of the register, Dr. G, Roy Stinson
sang ',Because." The bride given in
marriage by Dr. Harris MaePhed-
ran, wore a heaven blue wool en-
semble with matching blue acces-
sories; Stone martens and corsage
of gardenias. Her sister, Miss Greta
Eokmier, had chosen a beige dress
with hiege straw off••therface Breton
hat with brown and white polka dot

trim, and brown accessories'. Her
wrist bouquet was of Talisman
roses. Mr. Norman Spall of the R.
C.A.F. Trenton, wast his; brother's
best man. Mrs. Ecknier was in a
soft blue wol cbstume with dubon-
net accessoriesand corsage of Pink
carnations, and the bridegroom's
mother wore a navy and white Prin-
ted redingote ensemble with navy
accessories and a corsage of yellow
and white iris. Mr, and MTS. Spall
left for Washington and the New
En•glandl States, and on their re-
turn will live in, Toronto. The bride
is a graduate of St. Michael's Hos-
pital, Toronto, and the bridegroom
of the University of Toronto,
,BELL—SPEIRAN
A pretty wedding was solemnized
on Saturday at the United Manse,
Ethel, by the Rev. Mr. Snell, when
Elsie Grace, only daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Hartwell G. ,Speiran of
Grey Township was united in mar-
riage to Jadk M. Bell, of Elma
Township.
The bride was becomingly attired
in a street -length dress of "Night
and Day" crepe with lace insets of
Marsh rose and she carried a boquet
of Killarney roses statice and maid-
en hair fern.
After the ceremony the bridal
couple returned to the home of the
bride's parents where amid the im-
mediate relatives they partook of a
sumptuous wedding dinner, The
dining room being tastefully decor-
ated in pink and white.
In the afternoon the bride and
groom left on a trip to Stratford',
Niagara, London and other Points.
Phe bride travelling in dress of
heaven blue with coat of Teel Blue
with hat and other accessories to
match. lOn their return they will
reside on, the 10th line Elm.
