Prominent Churchill Man Stricken in Detroit Hospital William Hodgins, 69, one of the most prominent farmers of Ogornaw county died Tuesday evening, Nov- etn0ier 15, in the Ford Hoevital in. Detroit, Mr, Hodgins had been taken to the hos'pita'l for treatment just one week previously and al- though his condition was regarded a &serious hopes were extended for his recovery. The deceased was born in Brusesls, Ontario, Canada on December 22, 1868 and came to Ogemaw in 1890• when he was 22 years of age. He located on the site of his farm home in Churchill township near Selkirk. In 1898 be was united in marriage to Miss Sennie McFarland, In addition to being recognized as one of the most successful of ,L11 Ogemaw farmers, Mr. Hodgins was papular in many other fields of endeavor. I -Ie served on Ilie school board was township treas- urer; and for 18 years served as supervisor from Churchill town- ship, dIe was an active member of the West Branch Masonic Lodge. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon with a short Prayer service it1 the parlors of the Steur•ernol Home at 1.30 fol. lowed by further services iei the Frien<im church in Selkirk at 2,00 o'clock, Rev.
