The Wartime Prices and Trade
Board has issued the following ruling
on the transportation of livestock for
show purposes to Fall Fairs:
1. When exhibition livesock is
hauled by truck owned and operated
by a bona -fide farmer, who for the
purpose of the Order is defined as
Person principally engaged in farm-
ing, uo permit is required. In such
instances truck may also haul .exhi=
hition livestock belonging to a neigh-
boring farmer.
2 No permit is required when ex-
hibition livestock is handfed by a
P, C• V. operator authnrizing hint to
tarry livestock providing that trach
is operated over route as authorized
in the truck operator's P,C.V, license,
3. In other instances where exhibi-
tion, livestock is to be battled. beyond
21 stiles from the truck's registered

New Classes Called
To The Armed Forces
Humphrey Mitchell, Minister of
Labour, today a'nnouncet the call
to military training of married men,
ages 27 to 30 inclusive. and of all
Wren who reach the age 01 eighteen
this year. •
This can, Mr. Mitchell stated, in
pursuant to a decision reached Uy
the Cabinet Council. As in lirevious
calls those in' classes mentioned Batt

in the Armed Forces in Canada and
her territorial waters.
The minister explained that the,
