past few years for. Mr. McCleary,
the representative of the Bible
Society, to come to Brussels for the
business meeting of the Brussels
branch of the Bible !Society. This
year he Will be here for the Sunday
evening of September the 27th, The
three congregations, Melville, United
and Anglican, will hold a joint ser-
vice in, Melville Church, beginning
at the hour of seven. Mr, McOlearY
will preach at this eerviee. It is
hoped: that the Commu.nlity will :be
well represented at this Joint ser-
vice, foe Mr, McCleary is a reale

200 'Beef Cattle -Men Hold
Meeting in Clinton on Sept. 16th
.A, crowd of beet cattle producers
crammed the Minton. Town Hall on
Sept. 16th at a meeting called by the
Huron Federation of Agriculture to
discues the betterment of the beef
situation. 4 W. Morgan, President
of the Federation, presided and out-
lined the unsatisfactory oeditions
prevailing sanongst the farmers who
normally Punchase feeder cattle.
He stated that prices of feeder, cattle
were now equal or higher than those
Prevailing for %meshed cattle. Hee
also outlined: the untiatiefactoey
methods employed so far ter the
Wartime Food -Corporation in the
Toronto market, resulting in many
cattle being sent to the packing
houses for killing that should have
been sent out to pasture farms for
proper finishing.

emphasized the feet that the price

of beet were to be forthcoming on
