slow, both In numbers and verietles•

Judge Uriah McFadden
Dies Suddenly At Chatham
'CHATHAM, Ont., May 4—County
Judge Uriaib McFadden died sudden•
ly in the Public General hospital
Mcuday afternoon, Someweeks
ago the judge entered Ford hospital,
Detroit, for a 'surgical operation and
made .snumt good .progress that he
was brought to elle- local hospital.
He was expected to leave the .inetl•
tution but he ,suffered a sudden,
Aieart seizure and died.
Judge McFadden was appointed
county fudge in 'March, 1931, to
succeed ,the late J. (G. .Kerr, KC.
Prior to that he practiced law at
Sault Ste. Marie.
He ie' survived by his 'wife, two
sons, Albert of London and Richard
of Chatham.
Judge McFadden was a brother of
the late Mrs. - David Walker and was
well known. in Brussels and district.
