WILLIAM L. McQUARRIE
The funeral of William L.. Mc-
Quarrie, who died in Hamilton Gen.
eral Hospital on October 19th, was
held in Mitson's Funeral Home,
Dundas, on .Monday, Oct. 22nd at
2 p. m. The service was conducted
by the Ray.Howard. 0. Walker of
Guelph. Mr. McQuarrie was born
on Let le, Con. 4, of Grey township,
Huron County, 75 yearn. ago, .'7i
went to Seek.. In 1998 SO a teacher
and later formed what proved to
be a life long partnership with
Norman S. Smith of Borden, Sask.
in 1918 be became organizer for the
Retail Merchants Association of
Canada Incorporated, Sask. Branch,
and latter was secretary manager,
of that organization for 28 years.
He was also managing director of
the Retailers Trust Co. Ltd. of Can-
ada.
Pallbearers were Elgin Smith, Ernie
Fennimore. Wm. A. Wright, Hubert,
James and Earl Wood. Interment
in Crave Cemetery, Dundas.

Mr. and' Mrs. ltoy Sellers, and
line Morris, entertained the llr5all-
bers of the Eucha e Club at their
home last week when seven tables
played. Wallace Agar had the high-
est number of points. Mrs. Harvey
Edgar, plalying gentleman, won the
Prize for tone hands. Mrs, Bernard
Thomas was prize winner for lone
hands atnd Bill Elston, taking a
lady's tplaee, won. the prize for high
points. Consolation prizes were
awarded to Mr, and Mrs. Seines
Casemore. The lady's prizes• were
Holland tulip bulbs and there were
playing cards for the gentlemen.
The hostess served lunch,
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Thomas
opened their ]come last week for the
annual party for the members of the
Morris group of the Ladies' Aid of
Knox Presbyterian Church, when
they entertained their hinshands and
families. There was almost a full
attendance. Games were played and
Prizes awarded the winners. A real
social time was enjoyed. Sand-
wiches and pie were served by the
members. The hostess provided ice
cream.
