The Ontario Federation of Agri-
eniture in a telegram to Huron
t Comity farmers suggests that farmers
who are buying feed at present
tithe should consider the possibility
of purchasing Ontario winter wheat
in place of more expensive Western
Canadian grain • for • feeding of
poultry and hogs.
This purchasing of surplus Ontario
wheat will serve two good purposes.
The farther buying grain will receive
a lnwer priced feed and he will he
'helping to eliminate the small surp-

Many farmers who are in a fin-

their wheat at home or in elevators
in the district. The cost is approx-

In recent weeks there have been
three arrests for bootlegging, one in
Blyth, two in Seatorth. In each case
the evidence furnished by the
police was enough to secure con-
viction. In each case it was a first
conviction, with a sentence of $50
and costs. Such a sentence is s0
light as to he no more than a warn-
ing. The second offence is imprison-
ment. The public is well pleased
with action of the police and magis-
trate in maintaining the authority of
the law. The public is not well
pleased at the discovery that three

pects the hotel business to be con-
ducted within the law.
