The 36th annual meeting of Mait-
land Presbyterial W.M.S. was held in
Knox Presbyterian Chnrch, Kin-
cardine, on Tuesday, May 9th. Mrs.
Allen McAuley, president, presided
and opened the meeting with prayer,
Mrs. Bennett of Dungannon, and Mrs.
Dan Hnether or Cranbrook, led in
the devotions, the theme being.
"Faith." ROT. Stewart welcomed
the visitors. Reports were given
by the seeretartes and all were very
encouraging. Mrs. 0. Reid. Tees -
water, led in prayer. Mrs. Bell,
Kincardine. introduced the ejuest
speaker, Miss Freida Matthews,
National Missionary Executive Sec-
retary. Miss Matthew spoke of the
advance work that is to he clone and
gave many helpful ideas. Mrs. John
Linklate• of Kincardine, closed the
morning session with prayer,
Dr. C. H. MacDonald of Blneva.le-
bl'ought greetings from Presbytery
at the dinner hour.
Afternoon Session •
The afternoon session opened with
Mrs, Carrie and Mrs. Newman of
Whitechiurch and Miss Mary McLeod
of Lnnknow, in charge of the devot-
ions. the theme being "Courage
Through Faith." Miss Matthews
spoke on the work in Formosa., .the
Chinese and Tndian work in Canada
and of the great need for more work-
ers. Mrs. G. Reid, convener of resol-
titions committee, presented the
resolutions which were opposed to
Sunday sports, midnight dances
and giving alcohol to minors. These
resolutions were adopter' and will
he hent on 10 Presbytery. Miss
Marian .Tohneton of Kincardine, sang.

cotes were presenter" to Mrs. .7.
Lin -Water. Kincardine and Mrs. G.
Reid.' Teatvater, Miss Blathers. of
Luck inw, and Mrs. Simpson, Kin-
taii, made the presentations. Mrs,

showing an increase in -all depart-
ments. Mrs. Cross, Kincardine, pre-
sented the flenneigraph of "The
Tipper Room"' which was most
interesting and inspiring.

tended greetings from Mrs, Rif•

cal meeting held recently in Brent-

Raggedy Nan, the humornns play,
drew a large aadienee to the Com -
motility hall on Friday night. The 1
play was presented by the Auburn
Athletic Club and was sponsored by

solos were given by Mr. Elliott Lapp,
Auburn, with Miss Jackson ac-
companying. - One or the numbers
was "Friars in Order Grey," which
has not been heard in Blnevale for
many years.
