well-known Grey township farmer,
pawed away on Saturday morning.
January 8. He was In his 77tu
year. Mr, Turnbull was the son of
the late James and Agnes Turnbull
and was horn on the old homestead
on the fourth concession of Grey in
1872, •In November 1900 be married
Sarah Jane Kernaghan and establish-
ed his home on tete sixth, Concession
of Gray, Mia. Turnbull prods
ceased him in 1930.
Mr, Turnbull was vitally' interested
in the work of the church and served
on its various boards. with Ole
Unction. He hard been 'L member of
the ,Session of the united Ohiu'eh
fur many years and his loop there
will be keenly felt. He is survived by
one snn Santer who 'oak over the
farm some years ago.
The funeral which was held on
Monday from his late rasiclenoe waa
conducted by his minister Rev. Hugh
Wdlson who spoke in appreciation
of -his fine christian character. Pall-
bearers were, Wil Erect Hoy, Mac
Shaw, William Deitner, Duncan Mc -
Don OM, Russell Wllbee and 'Bert
Bray. Interment was made in the
Brussels Cemetery.
Alonzo Lewls Heath
Mr. Alonzo Lewis Heath passed
away tit his late residence, 10th con'
cession of Grey on Wednesday, De
cernber 29th, following a lengthy ill-
nrss• Born in Elate, Township, Maj'
20, 1384, he was the son of the late
Lewis and Sarah Heath. On .April 15,
1903, he was united 4n marriage to
Airrgairat Graham, who survives him.
He was a member of the Presby
terian Church, Ethel, and for several
y" rs served as manager of the
church. He was also a member of the
Cannrtian Order of Foresters.
Surviving is his wife, a dauglitar
(Violet) Mrs, Machan, Toronto; two
brothers, ,Jim, Galt, and John, L'S -
towel;' also two granddaughters,
Leota Machan -and Mary Ellen
Meehan..
,Services were held at his late res'-
.dence en 'January 1st, at 1.30 p.m.
and from • the -Ethel • Presbyterian
Church at 2 p.m. Rev. George Milne
officiated. Two of the deceased's fa-
vourite hymns, "Rock of Ages'' "and
"Jesus Lover of My Soul," were sung.
A. duet entitled, "Some Day the Silver
Cord Will Break" was rendered by
Ross and Bob Cunningham.
The pallbearers were; Messrs.
Chester Baiter, George Hutchiinson,
William Close, Carmen Baker
