Seaforth — The death occurred on
Thursday morning- in Scott Mem-
orial Hospital of John Currie, welt
knew resident of town, passed
away in his 70th year. Mr. Currie
had been in ailing 'health' for sLc
months. He was born at Harpur-
hey, Tnebersmith 'Township, and
lived in Brussels for several years
-where lie was engaged as a but-
cher. Since coming to town he
leered as night *Beeman for
eight years. In 1924 be was mar -
rigid to Gladys Whitfield of Lucan.
Surveyors are his wife and two
daughters. Mrs. George (Jean)
Finley, Toronto and Miss Helen
Currie at home; also two sisters,
Mrs. Percy Garside, London, and
Mrs. •Christens McDowell. Bros -
sell. There are two gnandeb:itdren.
The funeral was held from the G. A.
Whitney funeral home, on Saturday
at 2.00 p. m. with Rev. D. A. Mac-
Millan of Northside United Church
condueting the service. Interment
was in Mattlandbank cemetery.

The regular meeting of Melville
Harmony Club, held last Wednes-
day evening, opened with Hymn,

During the business a committee
of gentlemen were appointed to be
,hosts for the next meeting, April 16.
Members are asked to bring guests
and to notify Mr. Gerald Gibson if
attending.
After a pleasant sing -song, Mrs.
Callen Kraiuter, Mn. Wm. Martin,
Mr. Graham Work conducted a bean
soc fa1 with games, eontlests and
relays. Baked beans and brown
bread were served by the lunch
ennunittee. Mrs. J. Brewer, Mrs. R.
Bnnnson and Mrs. G. Gibson,
Quintin Alexander A'nderson
On April 2nd, 1962, the funeral of
Quintin Alexander Anderson, which
was largely attended took place from
bis late home in Brussels at two
o'clock. 'llhe Rev. Wm. F. Fulton of
Melville Presbyterian Church con•
ducted the eervice.
He was born on the Srd_line of
Morris, and at the age of twenty-
one left home to learn the black-
smithing trade with the late Dan
Eivan. He was employed at this
work seven years, then going to
Dundas for a time. Later he re-
turned to Brussels, owning the livery 1
barn in partnership with Bob
Lowe, and then with his brother,
James. For the past number of
years he has been a prominent car
dealer in Brussels.
Left to mourn are his widow, the
former Katherine Harbottle, sits
sister, Mrs. Wm. Ireland, and two
brothers. Dr. Tames Anderson and
Charles Anderson.
The pallbearers were James Ire-
land, Stewart Mo0a11, James Mair,
Harold Thomas. Roy Patterson and
Leonard Agar.
Flower bearers were James And-
erson, Charles Davidson, M. Wine -
berg, Walter Williamson and Elvin
Gregg.
Interment in Brussels Cemetery.

in 1646.
Coming to Canada from Ireland
as a boy, lir. Kerr later attesaded
Wycliffe College, Toronto. He was
made a deacon in 1914 d • t
ed the following year. After three
years in the Diocese of Toronto,
lie went to the mission Diocese
of Caledonia, where he spent 12
years.

The monthly meeting of St. John's
Guild was held on Tuesday, April
8th iu the church basement, Meet-
ing opened with a hymn and the
prayer service was led by President,
Mrs, G. Davis, Mrs. A, Morrow

ed. There were no minutes of the
previous meeting as the secretary
