A meeting of the East Huaou Agri,
Soolety was held in the Library at
Brussels on Feb, 13th, with Wm.
Turnlhu0l, President in the chair, A.

associates were on hand. Minutes
of the last meeting were read by
the secretary G,eo. Wesenburg and
adopted. Jas. Mair, Int Vice -Pres.,
was delegate elect to the Agri.
Societies Convention at Toronto
and reported on his lemmings there
on the Betterment of Local Fall
Fairs for one. The Directors have
a lot do with a good Fair but must
have the support of all the people
in the surrounding municipalities;
two, greater publicity; three, more
exhibits and better facilities, child-
ren's rides, tractoes and machinery,
races and etc., which we plan to
have, In which we need some help

Dr. R. S. Hamilton
Dr. Richard Sanford Hamilton
Brussels, died in Wingham hospital
Sunday night In his 81st year. Born
rrar Stratford, he was the son of
the late Johu Hamilton and Jane
Merrylees, of Mornington Twp. He
graduated in 1908 from the Royal
College of Dental Surgeons, Univer-
sity of Toronto, and has practiced In
Brussels ever since, until ill health
forced hien to retire a few years ago.
He was married in 1921 to Miss Ida
M. Bailey of Brussels, who survives.
Surviving also are two sisters, Mrs.
Claude Watt, Brampton; two broth-
ers, James, Vancouver; and Dr.
Scott Hamilton, Edmonton. Dr.
Hamilton was a member of Brus-
sels United Church, and was sec.-
treas.,
ec:treas., of that church for a number
of years, and served on the library
board.
The body rested at his late resi-
dence until Wednesday nt 2.00 p. m,
when a public service wee held from
the Walker funeral home, Brussels.

There passed away at Brussels
on Tuelsday, February 1,2th, Mrs.
Robert Patrick who had been in
ailing for some time and was ser-
iouely i11 for the last ten days, She
was formerly Julia Ann Pyke,
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Pyke and was born in
Gerrie, Ont. In 1896 she married
James Beeswitheriok and resided in
Gorrie where he died in 1918. Later
stye married Roert Patrick and has
resided in Brussels since that time
She was a member of the Method- 1
11st and later the United Church and
is Brussels cemetery.
