As in previous years this special allow-
ance of sugar for canning will be in
addition to the regular sugar ration. It
will be made available in two amounts
of 5 pounds each.

Coupons Yl, Y2, Y3, Coupons Y6, Y7, Y8,
Y4, Y5. Y9, Y10
Coupons may be used as desired after their respective validity
dates, and will remain valid until at least December 31st,
1947.
Each coupon Is good for the purchase of 1 pound of sugar.
The world sugar situation has been improving and has made
possible the recent increases in the Canadian allowance. World
supplies, however, are still inadequate to meet demand, re-
quiring continued rationing.

The Sacrament of the Lord's
Supper will he observed in Knox
Church on Sunday morning at 11
o'clock. Preparatory service will he
held on Friday evening at 11 o'clock.
Mission Band met in the church
basement. on Monday after school.
The Voting Women's Auxiliary of
Cranbrook held their May meeting
at the home of Mrs, Stanley Camp-
bell with twelve members and one
visitor present. The Roll Call was
answered with the word lamp. Marie
Cameron took charge of the Devo-
tional period and Della Fischer took
the topic on Education in India. At
the close of the meeting lunch was
served. Kenneth MacDonald was
removed to Listowel Memorial Hos-
pital on Friday •where he underwent
an operation for appendicitis. Re
ports are that be is progressing
favoably.
Alex Dark, London, was Balling
on friends in this district on Sunday.
Miss Mina Baker spent the week
end in Galt.

in the church here on Sunday even-
ing was much enjoyed by all who
attended. We hope to Isar them

nized at Auburn United Church
parsonage at high noon when Myrtle
Nellie Ann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Bert Heibeln, R. R. 6 Atwood, was
united in marriage to Mr. David
William Hammel, son of Mrs, Sam
T3eirnos of Ethel and the late Mr.
Frank R. Hammel. Rev. Harold Snell
performed the ceremony. 'the bride
wore a floor -length gown of white
brocaded satin '.fashioned with a

Speiran of Brussels was the brides-
maid, wearing a blue ant over silk
taffeta gown with pink floral trim,
