Meek, Chairman of the Ontario Milk Control Board, has announced that: 'Milk Tickets purchased at the subsdized price (prior to June lst) and in the hands of consumers on June 1st will be worth 2c per quart less than the legal price which will be in effect on June 1st, and consumers using subsidizied tickets will have to pay a difference of 2c per quart. Scott, prominent Ontario agri- culturist, died in hospital at Toronto on Tuesday afterninon of last week niter an illness of several weeks. Mr. Scott's. -connection with the United Farmers of Ontario and the United Fawners Co-operative Com- pany Ltd., extended over quarter of A century. He was well known throughout this district as a result of lois activities in various rural or- ganizations. He served the Province of Ontario as a member of the commission of enquiry into agricultural conditions in the province, appointed by Premier George Drew. The late Mr. Scott owned and man- aged a fano near Belgrave, in the 9th concession of Lasa Wawanosh Township, in the neighborhood in whichhe was born and raised. His father, John Scott, is still actively engaged in farming on a farm adjac- ent to that of the son. Mrs, John Scott [lied some years ago. The late R. J. Scott is survived by his wife, and five children: Kenneth and Mac are on the family farm, 1 where they have in recent years tea - 1 en over a major share of the work during their father's necessary ab - 1 sense on Federation of Agriculture and farm co-operative business. R. 7, Scott was a director of the Ontario Federation and the United Farmers Co-operative of Ontario. Of the three daughters, Isabel Is working in Toronto; Nora is a nurse's aid in Wingham hospital, and Mary Elizabeth is on the farm. Mrs. R. J. Scott is the former Mar. garet Aitken, of Belmore. The late M. Scott was in his 47th year. He was a member of the Pres- byterian Church in Belgrave. Mr. .Scott's death cam+ unexpect- edly, 1 -le had telephoned from the hospital to his home in Belgrave on jMonday is say that his condition was !improving, and that he would be out of hosiptal soon.
