automobile, his traelor and his faith-
ful gray horse. Of all three during
the winter months the tractor has
been used the most. Mr. 'Monier

has the mall for this is -mile route
not reached it destination, Route
No. 2, the largest route, carried by
Mr. Nutter is 22 miles long.
Pirteen of the 22 miles are over
'.tnplowed township roads. Despite
tin heavy blizzards this winter, Mr.
Couttes has turned back only twice
on both ()evasions the roads were
Impassible and visibility was nil,
Mr. Sholdive's route is the shortest;
yet much of it is over roads
which are frequently. traveled.
Like the previous mentioned car-
riers Mr. Sholdice has only failedi
eo deliver the mail Twice during the
1''45-45 winter season.
Mr. Marshall, carrier of route 8
Aso has had much experience.
Prior to delivering route three he
carried route 4 Mr, Marshall is
now snbsituting for Mr. Joseph
^anter who had carried the mall for
2 years but at present is employed
at Seaforth. Mr. Marshall s route

The regular meeting of the
•7.G.T,T, of Dux's United Church was
held on Saturday at the home of
Marie Bennett. In the absence of
she president, Mrs. Hazlewood
presided for the afternoon. After
repeating the C.G.T.T,Purpos•e, hymn
'113 was sung, followed by the
business, Mrs, Tiaziewood took the
worship service with Mavis Oliver
at the piano. The Scripture was
read by Doris Dalton, Helen Johns-
ton and Leona Johnston. The study
hook "Spotlight on Africa" was
given by Mavis Oliver. The meeting
ellosed with "Taps," Afterwarus
contests were enjoyed and Mrs,
Bennett served a dainty hunch.
