street, received a cablegram last weep
to the effect that Pte. Leslie, their only
son, bad received a wound in his left
thigh frons a gunshot and was being
cared for in a French hospital. We
hope the next word will convey the good
news that the injury is not serious and
that Leslie will soon be as wen as ever.
He went overseas with the 461st Bat-
talion and is a fine soldierly young man
