—Last Friday WIn. Wesley, publisher of
the Bruce Herald Times, passed away,
aged 62 years. Funeral took place Sun-
day. Mr. Wesley beta been a resident of
Walkerton for the past 35 years 3 sons
(A j , editor of the Her Id ; W. C., who
is a soldier in France ; and Roy S., at
borne) and 3 daughters (Mrs. Williams,
Toronto ; Mrs. (Capt.) McNally and
Miss Bertha, at home) survive.

toon, Sask., says:—Weather here has
been of the snappy variety and is rather
cold. Recruiting goes on epees out
here. Our district of W adena sent about

fair to realize their purpose. Many of
the fellows are making arrangements to
go by leaving their farms to the care of

A, G. English, who is visiting here
from the West, attended the Stock
Breeders Convention and stock Fate in
Toronto last week, His father, W. H.
English, of Harding, Mao„ was also in
attendance, he being one of the speak-
ers at the Convention. Some fine stock
was purchased by them and shipped to
their home in the West.
