NEWS Of SUNNY ITALY
BY ISAAC) HORD, MITCHELL
The following •is a -letter from 1.
Hord, who at the time of writing, was
itt Italy, and who attended the
great Sunday School. Convention
held in Switzerland :
Rome, Italy, June 27.
Here we are in Rome, the capital of
Sunny Italy, We left lostou on the
steamer Canopie, which had on board
400 Sunday school convention passen-
gers, 400 steerage passengers fov
Naples, and 270 of a crew and stewards
to look after both •the ship and its
load of humanity. Of the 400 con-
vention delegates the Majority were
ladies. Some of the ladies were
married. some single ; some were
young old ladies, and some were
old young ladies. We had on board
twentystwo of the Jerusalem pil-
grims of 1904, and neventeen Loodon
pilgrims OI 1898. Our voyage of four-
teen days was very pleasant, only one
or two days creating uneasiness a-
mong some of the passengers, but
none were very bad. The routine of
the ship •was easy and quite satis-
factory. . We had breakfast at 8a.
in.• a cup of soup at 11. a. m. • lunch
at 12.80 p. m. ; tea 01 4.80 and'din-
ner at 6 p
'in. Devotional exercises
were held daily at 10.80 a. m., with
public meeting of some sort every
evening. The remainder of the time
was put in as each one saw fit.
We stopped first at the Azore
Is-
land of St. Michael ; then at Maderia, -
Gibraltar and Algiers. The first two
porta are Portugese, the third British,
and the fourth French. On Wednes-
day we reached Naples, the great city
of Sunny Italy, One hundred of us
stopped at the Parker hotel, where
we had a fine view of the whole city.
It has been said "to see Naples and
die" ; but we wish to live all the
longer. We took a drive about the
city, viewing the greets, museum,
the fort, and the big 'cathedral. In
the afternoon we went by train to
see the famous ruins of Pompeii, the
city which the old volcano of Mt.
Vesuvius smothered in the smite 60,
Misch of the city has since been ex-
cavated, and shows what it wonder-

The city of Naples is 0 great place for
toueists, and hundreds of 'Americans

On Friday we arose at 5.80 as m. and.

eighty thousand people. "
Italy is practically full of beautiful
mountains and scenery. The distance
between Naples and Rome, 160 miles,

The Easy Laxative
in justice to yourtelf you should try Rexall Orderlies,- your
money back if you don't like them. They are a candy con-
fection that really do give easy relief from constipation.
Good health is largely dependent
upon the bowels. When they becothe

thrown off by the system accumu-

poisons which circulate throughout
the body, tending to create coated
tongue, bad breath, headache, dull
brain action, nervousness, biliousness
and other annoyances.
Avoid harsh cathartics and physics.
They give but temporary relief.
They often aggravate the real trouble.
They are particularly bad for eh&
