WAR AGAINST CIGARETTE SMOKING.-
More than one hundred giris in the
High School of Lynn have banded
themselves together to help the Princi-
pal in his war against the smoking of
cigarettes by the boy students. Hav
ing failed to stop the practice by other
methods the Principal appealed to
the girls to help him. Immediately, the
girls began a campaign with the result
that more thau one-half of the boys
have given up the use of tobacco during
school hours. What a forward step this
would be were it taken up by the young
girls in our own community.
