REV. JAS. LIVINGSTONE PASSES AWAY
Stratford Methodist district lost its
honored bead and Mitchell Methodist
church its beloved pastor in the death
at the General Hospital, Stratford,
Thursday of last week of Rev. James
fetvingstoue, The end came after a
gallant fight against an incurable and
baffling malady. Rev. Mr. Livingstone
was born 62 years ago in Tara, receiving
his education at Owen Sound and Wes-
ley Theological College, Montreal.
His pastoral experience included - the
following circuits:—•Kippen, Bayfield,
Florence, Blenheim, Clinton, Listowel,
Kincardine, Aylmer, Windsor. Petrolea,
London. (Wellington Street church) and
Mitchell. During the years of igotws,
he was President of the London Metho
dist Conference. He had also been a
memher of each of the last five General
Conferences. He leaves to mourn hie
loss besides his sorrowing wite, four
daughters, and Cove sons namely :—Mrs.
Ralph C. Duncan, Miss Lulu, Messrs.
Norman, Gartland, Redge, all of Win•
nipeg ; Douglas, of London, Miss
Florence, 01 Mitchell ; Nelles, of Ed
mouton and Miss Verna, astudent of the
Normal School at North Bay. The
body was removed to Mitchell on Thurs-
day, where the funeral was held on
Monday ate p. in, and was conducted
by Rev. Dr, I Warner, President of the
Conference. Interment was made' in
Kincardine cemetery,
