If correct, predict a gloomy outlook
for late sown grains and the hay crop
this year.' Mr. Bowes 'says: "Late sown
grain will suffer severely from the
drought in the latter half of May, the
most of June and also July. The first
two weeks of August will also be dry.
Thunder storms may save the situation
in some localities. This drought will
affect the whole northern hemisphere's
grain growing belt (situated In simi-
lar conditions as our North America
grain belt) do the extent of at least
three bushels to elle acre: . The hay
crop will suffer from the same cause.
The very cold, windy and' wet ,weather
also snow flurries and storms that will
commence about the Toth of April hod
continue 'to approximately the 260,
and the cold, wet and windy weather
from ,the 1st to the .12th of May. wit
