place on Saturday afternoon from
Burns Church, where service was

Passed Away Suddenly.
Fletcher Roe, well known in this
locality, dropped dead at the hone
of his son-in-law, J, G. Speir, South
gravel Wednesday morning of this
week. He had been assisting Mr.
Speir in the farm work and suddenly
collasped. He was dead before a
doctor could arrive, The funeral
will be held on Friday afternoon of
this week from the home of Mr,
Speir at 3 o'clock and service will
be held at 2.30. A more extended
notice will be given next week,

The new liquor permits issued by
the liquor control board are radically
different from last year's issue, They
are in book form with spaces for 702
purchases, or more than two for
every business day in the year on
that average. The spaces are evenly
allotted for purchase of spirits, wine
and beer, provision being made for

used against them if the control
board suspects them of buying more
