Gallaher a long and happy wedded
life.
Gallaher -Hetherington- A very
pretty wedding was solemnized at
the hone of C. and Mn. Hetherin-
gton, Bluevale Road, on Saturday,
Nov. 10th when their youngest
daughter Lillian S., was united in
marriage to Stanley N. Gallaher,
younger son of W. R. and Mrs.
Gallaher of Bluevale. Rev. A. V.
Walden of the United Church, Blue -
vale, officiated. The wedding music
was played by Mrs. Gordon Gallaher,
sister of the bridegroom. The bride,
who was given in marriage by her
father, wore a pretty gown of rose
beige lace with shoes and hose to
match. She carried a shower bou-
quet of Ophelia roses and Iily of the.
Valley. Following the ceremony at
wedding dinner was served in the
tastefully 'decorated dining room to
about 25 guests, being the immediate
relatives. Later Mr. and Mrs. Gal-
laher left by motor to spend a brio!
honeymoon in Hamilton, Buffalo and
other points. Upon their return
they will reside on the groom's farm
in Turniberry. Friends were present
from Toronto, Uxbridge, New York,
13russels and Teeswater.

Rev. M. F. Oldham. A very pleas-
ing feature of the evening was the
presentation to Mrs. M. R. Oldhaam
by the Women's Guild of a Water-
man per. and pencil set and the
following address was read by Mrs.
Adan Dahmer and the presentation
made by Mr's. C. Longmire: Dear

cannot let you leave our midst with-
out a small mark or appreciation
for your help and kindlloss to us in '

our homes. Wo ask you to accept
this small token hoping that wher-
ever you may be yon will be able

The Board of Listowel 14Iemorial
Hospital has been notified from the
Provincial] Secretary's department to
the effect that owing to fire hazard
government grants will be suspended
until all patients are removed from
the third floor of the hospital and
assurance given that this floor will
not be used for the accommodation '•
of patients in the future. The bos-
pital cannot carry on without this
grant and the available space is of-
ten taxed to the limit, If the third
floor is not used then the hospital
cannot serve the public as it should
The imembers of the board thus find
themselves in a dilemma as either
hospital accommodation must be re-
fused or the accommodation increas-

operation and advice of those citi-
