The conference decided to sal: tho provincial departments of agriculture of the fruit -producing provinces to contribute to the advertising fund on a fifty-fifty basis with the industry. The campaign will be undertaken by the Canadian Horticultural Council with the approval of representatives of the fruit growers' organizations in each province and other interests contributing to the fund. A resolution approvialg this deci- sion of the conference was passed unanimously and carried a preamble stating that in view of the import- ance of the domestic markets the conference was of the opinion that, under existing conditions, the in- dustry would be benefited to a con- siderable extent by an organized ad- vertising campaign for apples throughout Canada.
