W. 0. T. U. -The 23rd Annual Con-
vention of the Huron County Woman's
Christian Temperance Union will be
held in Wesley Methodist Church, Clin-
ton, on July 6th and 7th. commencing
at 2.3o p. m, on Tuesday, July 6th. The
Convention speaker will be, Miss Mor-
ton, of Toronto, one of the Provincial
organizers. On Tuesday evening a
splendid concert will be given by gold
and silver medalists of the County. Do
not fail to attend this concert, Every-
one is welcome to the sessions of tbe
Convention.
THE fine home of James Fox, druggist
William street, has been purchased by
Walter A. Lowry, who gets possession
in the Fall. Mr. Fox and family may
remove to Toronto or some other point,
locating another drug store. The busi-
ness in Brussels will be retained how-
ever and will be tinder charge of Mr.
Fox and Stewart, alternately, the latter
being now a fully fledged practitioner,
People of Brussels avid locality will be
very sorry to see the Fox family remove
as they Wilt be greatly missed especially
in Melville church where they have
been active workers. It is 20 years
since Mr, and Mrs. Fox moved to town
from Wroxeter, buying out J. T. Pep-
per, now of Woodstock.
MATRIMONIAL . -A quiet wedding took
place at the home of Robt, and Mrs,
Thomson, "Riverside Farm," Brusse.s,
Tuesday, June 29th, at high noon, when
their sister, Margaret Stewart Mac-
Lauchlin, wee united in marriage to
Ambrose R. Zpfe, of St. Catharines,
Ceremony was conducted by Rev. A. 5•
Mann, B. A. The bride, who was given
away by her brother, R, J. MacLauch-
lis, wore her travelling suit of navy
blue poiret twill, with tailored taffetta
hat and stone martin fur and a corsage
boquet of sweetheart roses. Wedding
march was played by her sister, Mrs.
Pbomeon. After luncheon Mr, and
Mrs. Zapfe left for a trip ,up the Great
Lakes, On their return they will reside
in ;St. Catharines where Mr, Zapfe is
Manager of the East end branch of the

picnic and automobile parties visiting
Goderioh are invited to use the Pavilion
ground, for the parking of their auto•
mobiles and may have the use of tables
in the restaurent free of charge. It is
