Methodist Sabbath School last Friday
evening the present staff of officers and
teachers was re-elected, The Superin-
tendent (W. H. Kerr) has the honor of
40 years office in the school. Plans
were discussed for the coming year
which will be announced in due season,
Disraze'r Women's Institute is slated
to meet here Friday afternoon of this
week at 2.30 o'clock. in the audieuco
room of the Public Library, Miss Clay-
ton, B. A., Listowel, will be tbe Gov-
ernment appointed speaker. Tbere
should be a large rally as each Institute
in the District is expected to send dele•
gates and s number of them will take
part in the program to be presented.

will meet on Victoria Park for the clos-
ing match in the first round of the Inter-
mediate Foof Ball championship, The
visitors are one of the hest teams in the
bunch and a close and exciting game is

no doubt, be witnessed by a bumper

first match at Ethel and our lads hope to

daughter of Rev. George and Mrs,
Jewitt, was united in marriage to Rev,
Maxwell C. Parr, of Harmony, son of
Robt. and Mrs, Parr, of Melbourne,
Ceremony was conducted by the bride's
father, President Ot London Conference,
Church was tastefully decorated by the
young people with flowers, ferns and a
beautiful arch, Bride, given in mar-
riage by her brother Ernest William,
looked lovely in her wedding gown of
Duchess satin and georgette crepe
trimmed with pearls. ITer veil of tulle
was caught with a bandeau of pearls and
orange blossoms and she carried Ophelia
roses and sweat peas, Miss Lillian
Muckle, niece of the groom, acted as
flower girl and was neatly attired in a
white dress over pink. The ushers were
Messrs. Harold Parr and Smith: Wed•
ding march was played by Miss Ella
Logan, of Parkhill, cousin of the bride,
as the bridal procession entered the
church. During the signing of the
register Miss Anne Brownlee sang in
good form "To -day" by John Bennett,
Groom's gift to bride was a pearl level-
iiere, to the pianist an onyx rine set
with pearl, to the flower girl a pearl
necklace, to the soloist a cameo brooch
and to the ushers gold handled jack-
knives, Numerous beautiful gifts,

popuiarlty of the bride, A dainty din
oar was served ii the church parlor, the
tables being beautifully decorated with
flowers and pink and white streamers
