Set gives you everything you possibly
could want in a Radio—at a moderate price. Tone ! 'There is
no difference between listening to this set and listening at the
broadcasting studio, Power ! Distance seems to make no
difference, Local stations and stations far away come rolling
in as easily and clearly as though; they were just outside your
door. Select the station you want -•and there it is. Make it
louder, make it softer, as you please, If the music or speech
should stop for a moment, the set is so quiet that you couldn't
tellwhether it was on or off—if it weren't for the light in the
dial,
Just listen here to a few bars of music, and you'll say (as most
people do), "That's the set I want ! That's what I call a radio!"

The Presbytery of Huron, the

more than fifty-five meetings in
the Presbytery. The ronowing res-
olutions were passed :—
(1) That every charge be urged
by the Presbytery to put forth
every effort, and to use every reas-
onable means, to secure the entire
amount of their allocation before
the end of the year.
(2) That the minister of each
charge be requested to ascertain if
there are funds contributed for
missionary and maintenance purp-
oses in the I}tands of his treasurer,
and, if so, to request him to for-
ward them to Dr. Laird, the treas

PAYS TO ADVERTISE
"The codfish lays a million eggs,
And helpful hen lays one.
'rhe codfish never cackles
To tell us what she done ;
and so we scorn the codfish
And the helpful hen we prize.
Which indicates to you and me
That .it pays to advertize."

A certain Missouri editor refus-

New Auto Markers
In connection with the issuing
of 1930 license markers which will
commence in another month, it is
stated that several changes will be
+nada hi the plates. The coloring
• will be the e'nic, black letters on
'r white ,ground, which will be done
by the Canadian color Type conn-
bany, but the plates will be shorter
and of heavier make owing to the
many complaints received due to
the comparative vase with which
1 'hose now in use can be dainagcd if
struck by the bumper of another'
ear. Each county will have its speri-'
int letter and no more than five
ialigits will appear on any one Inc- I
leer this inclusive of the letter. Tt Is
stated that, ruder the contracts,
the province will pay 12.9 cents
