What Brussels Should Do.
Last Thursday while motoring
through Mitchell we noticed that
workmen were putting cement be-
tween the curbing and the sidewalk,
and Brussels would be 100(7,, better
r if the Council did the same. The
gravel just accumulates all the dust
that's moving ,as well as weeds and
grass. It would also make the side
walk wider from N. Chapman's store
north.
Naval Seaplanes in Action
To see the actual work of mating
a flight of naval seaplanes off to the
scene ^ of action, and to watch them
sending their deadly bombs down on
the hordes of natives besieging a
hard pressed British regiment in a
fortress on a rugged hillside is one
of the stirring features of the film
"The Flag Lieutenant" produced by
the British firm Astra -National with
full co-operation of the Navy, and
will be shown at the Grand this Fri-
day and Saturday. This episode in
the picture is a sight worth seeing in
itself. You are actually taken up in
the seaplanes with the camera so that
you can feel the thrill of setting
loose the bombs, and watch their
effects far down below, The
urgency of the need is so tense and
so exciting that here you get all the
thrill of being in the battle your-
self. An its all done with that es-
senially British sang-froid that
keeps Britain's fighting heroism from
ever being cheap and melodramatic.
See this magnificent picture "The
Flag Lieutenant" and gain this in-
teresting experience.

Rev. Mr. Rickard has been here for
the past nine years and has made
many friends both in the Anglican
church and other departments of the
town's activities who very much re-
gret his departure from their midst.
The services were very helpful and
much appreciated on Sunday, and
the music was exceptionally good.
Besides the regular chants and music
at the services, at the morning ser-
vice Mr. Clayton McMichael, of Hain
Ilton, sang in splendid voice "The
Lord is My Shepherd" and at the
evening service Mr. McMichael sang
"Be Thou Nigh." At the evening
service a duet "Lead Kindly Light"
!was beautifully rendered by the
Misses Maskell and Mitchell of Brant
Iford, The service of the United and
Baptist church was withdrawn and
the congregation joined with the
Anglicans in the evening service.
Rev. T. Freers, assisted by reading
the Scripture lesson and he also mad
a few appreciative remarks for the
