In the case of the .Ancient Order
of Foresters and Eva Castner, a
suit which had its origin here, an
order was made by the Master -in -
Chambers, et Toronto on Wednes-
day, for payment of money out of
court to the lady. Some time ago
Leia Costner, a member of the
Order, died, leaving his wife a bene-
fit certificate in the society for
$1,000. Deceased had been living
with Eva Costner, and ebe claimed
to balite lawful wife. The Sooiety
was about to pay the money to Eva
when another ()Lamont turned up
10 the States and put in a olaim to
the money. The name of the new
claimant was Rebecca Kirechuer,
and she said she was the wife of
Costner, having been married to
him 28 yearo ago hu Russia. The
society paid the amount into court to

ed to give security for costs before
proceeding. With this order alis
failed to comply, and now the
