PRESENTATION. -The following from the
Wiarton Encore refers to a former pastor
of the Brussels Methodist church ;-"On
Monday evening last the residence of
Dr. Fisher was the scene of a very pleas-
ant gathering. Upwards of thirty of the
older members of the Methodist church,
with their pastor and his lady and others,
were present. The evening was cheer.
fully spent in sooial conversation, music
and singing, and Mrs. A. Seaman gave
that grand old recitation 'Mary Qaeen of
Soots.' Refreshments of the beet quality
were served up in good style, and then
came the event of the evening. Rev. Geo.
Lounds and lady were invited to a prom -
tent position, when Mrs. T. Gilpin read
an address, and Dr. Fisher, on behalf of
the ladies, presented them with two
beautiful easy chairs. The rev. gentle-
man made a suitable reply, after which
an appropriate piece was sung, and prayer
was offered by Mr. Lounds, thus bring.
ing to a close an aveoing spent in which
all were delighted."
