LAST week the repeal -vote on the Can-
ada Temperance Act came before the
electors of Drttnlmond County, Province
of Quebec, but contrary to the rule lately
governing these contests, the Act

bows in the same direction. The Oriole
was stopped as soon as possible and life -
preservers were thrown to the struggling

B. Loeee and the youngest Loose child
were rescued, but neither Mrs. Cameron,
Mrs. Lome nor Myra Losee, the child,
were seen, The body of Mrs. Cameron
and that of little Myra Losse were sub-
sequently picked up.
