Come here, you ignoramus !
I'm 'shamed to have to 'fess
You don't know any latter
'Cept just your cookie S.
Now, listen, and I'll tell you,
Thie round hole's 'name is 0,
And when you put a tail in
It makes it Q, you know.
And if it has a front door
To walk in at it's C,
Then make a seat right here
To sit on, and it's G.
And this tall letter, dolly,
Is I, and stands for me,
And when it puts a hat ou
It makes a oup o' T.
And curly I is J, dear,
And half of B is P,
And E without his slippers on

F, 'you see.
Yon turn A topside down,
And people call it V,
And if it's twins, like this one,
W 'twill be.
Now, dolly, when you learn 'em,
You'll know a great big heap—
Most mach's I—oh, dolly 1

BOOKS OF THE OLD TESTAMENT,
In Genesis and Exodus
And also in Leviticus
God speaks to sinful men ;
In Numbers He with Israel meets,
In Denterohoiny repeats '
While Moses holds the pen.
Bold Joshua crosses Jordon's wave,
Then Judges rise both strong and brave,
And Ruth's sweet graces, Blaine.
In Samuel First old Eli dies,
While Second Samuel Bees ariee
First Kings of David's line.
In Second Kings and also in
First Ohronioles through deeds of sin
A. gathering storm is feared.
While Second Chronicles declares
How Israel fell, through heathen snares,
Till Ezra appeared.
Then Nehemiah proves most true ;
II And Esther saves the hated few,
Then Job majestic speaks. ,.
' In Psalms rich melodies abound ;
In Proverbs priceless gems are found
By him whom tvisdom seeks.
Eaolesiaatee vita in gloom,
But Solomon's Song retains its bloom,
And shows a mastery deep.
Isaiah :vetting what he believes,
r While Jereniah sadly grieves
And Lamentatious weep.
Ezekiel tulle hie vieiooe rare ;
And Daniel talks with angels fair ;
And Hosea reproves.
Then Joel speaks the faithful word,
For which brave Amos leaves his herd ;
And Obadiah loves,
• Jonah from God's own presenoelflees ;
But Micah his salvation sees ;
And Nahum tells His power,
Old Habakkuk in God confides ;
And Zephaniah in Him hides
In sore temptation's hour.
Haggai cries : Arise and build,
For God's good time is now fulfilled,
And Zacbariah sends
ToJ,ereel's boats a message plain,
And then with Malaohi'e refrain
