commenced on Wednesday of last week
at the Town Hall when the Township of
Wallace appealed against the assessment,
in the Stewart Drain. The Townships
of Grey and Maryborough and the Town

evidence was similar to the evidence given
by engineer Davis. Mr. McDonald made
a very good witness. Mr. Davie was
again called and produced plans, etc„ to
further cony out his statements in the
morning, Mr. Roger,itchell, was the
first engineer called or the defendants,
Mr. Roger being the engineer • who re-
ported on the proposed •improvements,
and he was subjected to a very severe
oress.examination by Mr. Mabee, The
Court adjourned till 9 o'clock Thursday
morning. -
