One summer afternoon in 1954 there
eat upon the balcony of 'The Hotel
Grand' a magnificent hotel, which was
built upon the site of the Queens in
1915, when Dr. Hambly was prevailed
upon to dispose of his adjoining pro-
perty, which not only made room for
this Palatial Hotel, but also gave space
for stabling horses galore. As stated
there sat upon this balcony, a few very
elderly gentlemen. They were the
Aldermen of 1914, with the exception
of Ald. Iebister, who had long since
passed over to the other shore. They

Thompson lately, and have purchased
