In a solemn, meaningful moment
during a marriage ceremony in
Wingham United Church, R. Ansley
Currie and her groom, Terry,K.
Marr, lit a candle symbolizing the
joining together of their lives as they
were united in the, bonds of holy
matrimony by Rev. J. Rea Grant.
The bride and groom, who both
reside in Toronto, were married on
Saturday, Feb. 28, at 4:30.
Ansley's parents are Mr. and Mrs.
James A. Currie of Wingham. Terry
is the son of Mrs. Carolyn Newburgh
and Kenneth Marr, both of
Wainfleet.
The double -ring candlelight
ceremony was performed amid a
setting of white candelabra
surrounded by yellow spider mums,
white carnations and white gladioli.
Organist was the bride's uncle, Dr.
James S. Hall of Port Colborne. He
played "Trumpet Voluntary" as a
processional and during the signing
of the register provided an organ
interlude which included "Ich Liebe
Dich" by Grieg. The recessional was
Purcell's "Trumpet Tune and Air".
Ansley was given, in marriage by,
her parents and chose a white floor -
length gown of French lace. The
peau de soie bodice was overlaid
with silk embroidered net trimmed
with seed pearls and the standup
collar and leg -'o -mutton sleeves
were also embroidered and trimmed
with pearls. The full net skirt,
embroidered with scallops, fell into
a scalloped hemline which extended
into a chapel train edged with em-
broidered lace. Silk flowers trim-
med with pearls formed a crescent-
shaped 'headdress which held a
fingertip veil and she carried three
white cymbidium orchids and white
carnations, accented with spider
plant.
Miss Christine Culver of Missis-
sauga was maid of honor and
bridesmaids were Mrs. Sharon
Green, Ms. Betty Morra and Mrs.
Jennifer Mak, all of Toronto. They
