Did you know that mira-

It seems that an Eastern

Designer. Jack Denst did
in a kitchen that sparkles
with decorating drama.
Denst mirrored the lower
portion of the kitchen base
cabinets and `covered the
work *a in natural, off-
white marble. Inset in the
marble slabs are a sleek,
smooth cooktop and a stain-
less steel sink. He used a
plain, off-white simulated
marble vinyl tile for the
floor and plexiglas murals
on the walls.
He also created a mir-
rored bar which swings up
into the roof of the adjoining
patio'— especially pleasant
during benign weather.
When the bar waif swings
down into place, the mirror

Q. Our master bedroom
has natural wood parquet
floors that are beautiful and
walls that I have just had
painted an old gold shade.
What colors would you sug-
gest for the room besides
gold and brown?
I'd like quite a bit of rich
color in the room which is
very traditional. The furni-
ture is andqued white Ital-
lan-styled. 1 want to buy a
rug for part of the room
where I will have a sitting
area with perhaps two
lounge chairs and a table.
Also 1 will need draperies
and a bedspread. — E.E.
A. You might like to use
light brown and a soft coral
as contrasting colors with
the old gold of your walls
and off-white of your furni-
ture. You might use a light
brown plush area rug for
your sitting area. Two
matching lounge chairs in a
soft coral damask might be
elegant.
For your draperies. use
the.same fabric as you put
on your chairs The bed-
spread might tie the old gold
and the soft coral together
with a tailored design using
a dust ruffle of the coral and
a top fashioned from a goid
fabric. Accessorize with
gold. white and pale shades
