GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY --Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hastle
of Gorrie celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday
with an open house for relatives, neighbors and friends.
They were married at the home of the bride's parents In
Howick Township, Oct. 9, 1929. Since then they farmed at
RR 1, Gorrie, before retiring to the village five years ago.

their 50th wedding anniversary

They were married Oct. e, 1908,
by Rev. R. S. Jones at the home
of the bride's parents in Howick
Township. They farmed at RR 1,
Gorrie until their retirement to
the village five years ago.
Mr. and Mrs. Hastie have a
family of three daughters, Mrs.
John ( Edith) Blythe of Sauble
Beach, Mrs. Robert (Marie)
Strong, of RR 1, Gorrie, Mrs.
Keith (Margaret) Finnigan of
London, and two sons, Robert of
RR 1, Gorrie and Thomas of
Woodbridge. There are 14 grand-
children and one great-grand-
child.
A family dinner was held in
their honor at Capt'n Zack's,
Wingham. Many greetings,
cards, flowers and gifts marred
the happy occasion.
Special congratulatory greet-
ings were received from local
MPP Murray Gaunt and Bob Mc-

Mr. Gaunt also presented Mr.
